It is probably best to include as much information as possible about your situation. Information like when was the last time you played a given tape? Did the tape ever looked better or was it recorded with problematic video or audio. We'll try to meet any deadlines you have, like anniversaries, etc. if you let us know in advance, as our work load varies greatly.
If you want the footage converted to a format suitable for editing let us know the type of software you will be using and the desired format (codec, etc.) you would want the source footage to be in. We have worked with many clients providing a suitable hard drive for their project and saving all the files in the proper format will make editing it very easy in your own studio.
Shipping methods that work can be any suitable carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc) with tracking. We have recieved many videos from all over the world and have shipped the original tapes and restored DVD's or hard drives back using an appropriate carrier with tracking. Our normal policy is to retain all the footage on our resident hard drives (with daily backups) until all the DVD's or footage has been approved by you. We normally also keep backup DVD's in our vault, in case your copies are compromised in the future or you need extra copies.
