| The idea of creating immersive content for the web is becoming closer to reality with the introduction of Cubic Panoramas. To be able to see straight up and view the ceiling or sky can significantly add to the immersive aspects of this media. Certain kinds of virtual tours are greatly enhanced with the addition of an interactive map, three different examples are shown below. Sound can also enhance the ambiance of a location and the example of Zion National Park in Utah, usa. certainly demonstrate this. Sometimes a custom "frame" around a QTVR will give the VR a specific context, which the gargoyle frame with Infrared VR does! Finally Harry The Head from the Residents stopped by for a quick session. Enjoy. |

These are 2 examples of cubic panoramas. The first one is actually a three room tour of a rental unit. The other on is of a cafe, in San Francisco's Haight Asbury district. Both examples allow you to look straight up and down, with the DTP logo covering up the tripod. |

| We are focusing our DV attention to the world of Training, System Configuration and actual Post Production Services. We have been involved with the synthesis of computers with video since 1985 with Mindset and the Amiga computers. Final Cut Pro is just one of the many NLE software systems that evolved from this background and currently is a favorite among Independent editors. That is not to say something else will not come along that will be the Next Big Thing among NLE software so the important thing is to focus on content, production flow and the entire gestalt of what is called post production. We have been consulting for many independent , non profits and corporate clients for more than a decade and our goal is to provide the highest quality advice and training so you can create your visions with a minimum of hassles. With the release of Final Cut Pro 4 many new enhancements have been made and support has been added for just about all professional formats. We offer complete individual training with an emphasis on extremely high production values. Final Cut Pro system's configurations can range from basic DV configurations to High-definition systems conforming to ATSC DTV standards. We will research your current needs with an eye towards your future needs, We have worked on Apple's Final Cut Pro development team and share with them an enthusiasm for this wonderful piece of software and combined with the latest desktop and laptop computers from Apple a truly limitless vision can be created. |

The good news is the current version of OSX "Panther" (10.3.3) is much closer to a complete operating system than earlier releases. As soon as you boot into OSX you will want to take a trip to the Apple Menu area and check the Software Update Pane for any updates to OSX, as this OS is still a work in progress with frequent updates being posted by Apple. The current trend in the OS X development cycle seems to be between those who want to maintain as much of the feel and functionality of OS 9.X as possible vs. a different (Aqua) GUI with different expectations based on NeXTSTEP, various window's incarnations and UNIX in general. A ton of share/freeware has been released to let OS X have some of the functionality of OS 9.X as possible, but as always be aware that some of those may be broken by subsequent releases by Apple. Since the underlying basis of OS X is UNIX a good deal of interest is coming the Mac from a wide variety of sources, including the scientific community which usually had little interest in the Mac OS before. So yes the entire future of the Mac is based on this transition to a new Operating System and since Apple also makes all the Hardware, it is crucial to Apple that this transition goes smoothly not only for current Mac users but also to expand the user base to include window's, linux and other users. We have consulted with numerous individuals and organizations about all aspects of upgrading to OS X and constantly keeping in touch with all the key issues around this important and historical transition. As a registered Apple developer we have internal access to information that may be vital to your personal or organization strategy.
